News and Upcoming Events for Shortgrass Member Libraries

At the recent Jasper Conference (Library Association of Alberta and The Alberta Library Trustees Association), two awards were announced.

The Alberta Library Trustees Assocciation selected the Brooks Public Library for the 2009 Award of Excellence.

The Library Association of Alberta 2009 President's Award was given to Bob Batchelder, Assistant director of the Shortgrass Library System.

The Alberta Library Association Conference While the theme for 2011 is yet to be announced the Alberta Library Association Conference will held in Jasper April 29-May 2, 2010.

AALT Conference The 2010 AALT Conference will be May 27 - 30, 2010 at the Carriage House Inn in Calgary. AALT = Alberta Association of Library Technicians
