In 2003 we joined the Shortgrass Library System. It will take a while for all Shortgrass Library System services to be available. Check back for later information.
Library Hours of Operation:
| Regular Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm |
| Every second Tuesday 7:00pm to 8:30pm |

| Summer Hours: Wednesdays 10:00am - 4:00pm

| Library is closed Weekends and all School Holidays |
Membership Fees:
The Library is open to all community members and there is no membership fee charged.
Loan Periods:
Library materials, with some exceptions, are loaned for a two-week period and may generally be renewed for an additional two weeks. Videos are loaned for a three-day period and are generally renewed for a second three-day period.
Fines:
A fine of 5¢ per item per day will be assessed on all overdue books, videos, audiocassette, and periodicals to a maximum of $5.00. Lost or damaged materials will be charged at replacement cost.

Why are we called Alcoma?
Early residents in our area came from the Tacoma area in Washington State. They decided to give the local school district a similar name, but changed the "T" to "AL" (representing Alberta).
