Staff in Shortgrass member libraries are participating in this new reference service for Alberta library patrons. "An APLEN Project -- Alberta Public Libraries working together for their patrons"
More information on the Ask A Question projectAlberta's Librarians have the answers!
Ask a question, day or night, right here, right now. A network of Alberta's Reference Librarians will research the answer and point you to credible sources to help solve your mystery.and you'll get your answer within 48 hours.
Ask a Question is available free of charge to anyone in Alberta.
Persons outside Alberta can ask questions specific to our province, but questions related to other areas of the country are best asked of the Reference Librarians in those provinces.
It's simple. Just click on Ask A Question (logo) to get started. There's a space to type your question and provide your email address for a direct response. Alberta's libraries do not use your email address for any other purpose, and we won't publish or sell your email address to anyone.
All questions are archived - and that's a great place to start as someone else may have already asked your question. (It makes interesting reading, too!)
Purpose and Limitations [ back to top ]
Ask A Question is designed to provide general answers and will identify resources to help your research.
Ask A Question will provide sources, whenever possible, where persons can look up the information directly.
Ask A Question is also available, for many Albertans, on the Visit Your Library's website.
